Monday Mission
Monday Mission: This week let someone know how they made your day or week better!
Update on the Attendance Mission from a few weeks ago: Homework Passes will be issued this week!
Veterans Day Program at Southside High School
Our Veteran’s Day Program is being planned for Wednesday, November 9, beginning at 9:00 a.m. This is the same day as the Veteran’s Day Parade in Downtown Gadsden so we will be dismissing school on that day at 11:30 a.m. The parade downtown will begin at 2:00 p.m.
We will be offering two incentives to encourage the attendance of the Veteran’s Day Program. First, all students that attend the entire half-day on Wednesday, November 9 without checking out will receive one Homework Pass that they will be able to use in any class. Second, students that invite and have a veteran come to the program will receive one Tardy Pass that can be used to remove one tardy that the student has acquired either earlier in the school year or will acquire later this school year.
Also, if you have a family member who has served or is currently serving in the United States Armed Forces and you would like them included in the school Veteran’s Day Slideshow Presentation, you can email a picture of them along with what branch of service they were in and their years of service to Mr. Zane Smith at zane_smith@ecboe.org. All pictures must be submitted by email. The deadline for submissions is Monday, November 7th.
The Veteran’s Day Slide Show will be played during our Veteran’s Day Assembly on Wednesday, November 9
Students - Please remember to check your Schoology class group! Important information can be found in these groups. If you don't know what this is, ask a teacher! They will help you find your class group in Schoology.
