The link above will direct you to the supply lists for all grades for this year. In preparation for school and COVID protocols, please label all supplies with your child's name.

The Virginia Tax-Free Weekend begins Friday, August 6th and ends Sunday, August 8th.

Return Chromebooks & iPads

To prepare devices for the new school year, the Technology Department is requesting to have all devices turned in for updates and reimaging. Please return all devices to Hermitage High School or you may drop them off at our school during the office hours.

Please mark your calendars for September 2nd from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. for our Open House event. This will be a great opportunity to meet your child(ren)'s teacher(s) and to see the classroom. We are thrilled to welcome our Tigers back to the building. Feel free to bring school supplies labeled with your child(ren)'s name. Due to COVID protocols, there will be no sharing of supplies between students.

Calling all parent/family volunteers! We are ready to get our Parent Teacher Organization up and running again for the school year. "Many hands make the work light." You don't have to commit to a lot. If many volunteer to do a small part, when it all comes together great things can be done for our students. If you are interested please complete the attached form.

Longdale Elementary School, located in the Fairfield district, was named after its community. Longdale is an area located between Mountain Road and Brook Road. The Longdale community was named for E. T. Long, who moved into the area around 1924. He built, rented, and sold more homes than anyone else in the area prior to that time. The original wood-framed school was built in 1922 on Greenwood Road next to Greenwood Methodist Church. In 1933, the school was destroyed by a fire and was rebuilt as a brick building at its current location.
