August is finally here! We are excited to kick off the start of the school year and welcome both your child and your family back to Worthington Schools and Worthington Park Elementary.

Just a reminder that Worthington Schools have new start and end times across the district this school year. Worthington Park Elementary school is an "early start" school and our times are listed below.

School Day (All Day K-5th Grade) 7:40 a.m. - 2:20 p.m.

***School doors open at 7:25 am Tardy Bell will ring at 7:45 a.m.

A.M. Kindergarten: 7:40 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

P.M. Kindergarten: 11:30 a.m. to 2:20 p.m.

Join the Worthington Park Staff and Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) for our annual "WoPark Beautification Day!" Help us make the outside of the building look wonderful for our students' return. We supply the mulch, plants, water, and popsicles...you bring the yard tools and gloves!

The event will start at 9am! We hope to see you there.

Parents and Guardians will be receiving an email from Principal Garrity on Friday, August 12th which will include your child's classroom placement for the 2022-2023 school year. The letter will include grade level, classroom number, and teacher's name. Families will receive one email for each child they have enrolled at Park.

We will be using the main email contact that is updated in Infinite Campus. Should you not receive an email on that date, please contact the main office.

We cordially invite you to come to Worthington Park Elementary on Monday, August 15th from 4 pm- 6 pm to celebrate the start of the school year. This is a great opportunity to:

• Meet our Staff and your child's teacher
• Tour your classroom and the building
• And enjoy a sweet treat thanks to our friends at Dairy Queen!

Here at Worthington Park, students will have access to breakfast and lunch daily. While the past two school years were different, this year all school food service departments are required by the USDA to return to pre-pandemic operations for the 2022-2023 School Year. The pandemic put a pause on families and students having the routines of using lunch PIN codes and depositing funds for school meals. We are returning to our original model this fall. • School breakfast and lunch meals can be purchased for the 2022-23 school year at the following rates:
• Breakfast: $1.60 ($0.30 reduced price)
• Elementary Lunch: $2.75 ($0.40 reduced price)
• All Worthington elementary buildings will be nut-free, including peanuts Please omit these from any packed lunches or snacks.

Free and Reduced Meals

• Families are encouraged to apply for free and reduced meal benefits HERE. The application is available in 10 languages.

Lunch PINs

• Student PIN numbers can be found in the Parent Portal

Payment

• Families can continue to add money to lunch accounts through MyPaymentsPlus as they have in past years.

Join the Worthington Transportation Department for our First Time Riders Event! We look forward to meeting all of our new First-Time Riders for the start of the 2022-23 school year! Children riding the bus for the first time will get to meet drivers, learn safety lessons, take rides with their parents, and learn what it means to be a safe bus rider. This is also a great time to confirm your bus stop location and pick-up/dropoff times!

We encourage families to join us during their school's assigned times, but you are welcome to stop by whenever you can! Worthington Park Elementary will be 11 am-12 pm at the Worthington Education Center

Now that we have updated our system and moved to the 2022-2023 school year, it is that time for parents and families to log into Infinite Campus and update your family's important information. This includes emails, phone numbers, addresses, and emergency contacts. We ask that all families- log into their accounts to verify the information.

More Busing Updates: Attention all bus riders! It is important that our transportation department has the correct pickup and drop-off location for your child. Bus route information will be available on August 4th. Should you know in advance that your child will need dropped off at a location other than your home, please fill out the Alternative Transportation Request Form as soon as possible.

Resource for parents to find their own login credentials: Parents can access their own login credentials by clicking the Password Recovery link under Quick Links on the Worthington Schools main page. They enter their email address (it needs to be the email that we have on file for them) and will immediately get an email sent to them with their district-provided username and password, which they can use to login to the Parent Portal as well as Infinite Campus.

Finding Student ID #: For My Payments Plus, parents can find their child's Student ID # by logging in to Infinite Campus and clicking on Today. The 9-digit student number is under student name, visible on both the app and when accessing Infinite Campus through the Parent Portal or the Infinite Campus website.
