Where the Adventure Begins...
Welcome Back!
Happy New Year! We have been so happy seeing all of these sweet faces back to school! I hope all of you enjoyed the 2 week break and were able to get some extra quality time together.
The teachers have been working hard getting everyone back into good routines here at school. We also use this time for midyear assessments. It is a great time to gauge the progress our children have made in relation to where we want them to be by the end of the year. We are so proud of the progress we are seeing and cannot wait to see them continue to blossom this spring semester!
It has been pretty chilly, finally, so be sure to send heavier coats with your children. It helps us make sure everyone keeps up with their belongings if their names are on them somewhere. Thank you for helping us with that!

Try This Instead of Handing Over Your Phone!
We all hand our phone to our little one to pacify them at times. Before you do next time, consider some of these fun, easy games you can play together that will encourage your child's language and social skills! I'd bet you would both enjoy them!
1. Name That Tune
Hum a familiar song (“Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star,” “Old McDonald,” etc.), and see if your child can identify and name it.
2. What’s Missing?
This is a great one to do at the table at a restaurant. Take a few objects — a fork, spoon, and sugar packet, for example — and tell your child to take a careful look at the collection. Then cover the items with a napkin, and remove one of the items without them being able to see which one (lift the end of the napkin nearest you for cover as you withdraw the item). Now remove the napkin altogether, and ask your child to name which item is missing.
3. Who Am I?
Pick an animal, and then let your child ask questions to try to figure out what animal you picked. E.g., “Do you roar?” “Do you live somewhere cold or hot?” “Are you furry?”
