Mrs. White's Kindergarten News

Happy Friday
It was a great week in Kindergarten. Sadly we had to say good-bye to Miss Lawson. We were able to send her on her way with a beautiful chair and a basket full of goodies for her future classroom. The kids did a great job of decorating the chair. I am sure it is something she will have for years to come!!! Thank you to all who helped donate!
Cool Creek Field Trip May 18th: Permission slips were sent home last week and need to be returned to school no later than May 8th. There is no cost for this trip, but they do accept donations to help fund their programs. If you would like to volunteer, we would love to have your help. Chaperones must have a current background check and complete the bully training.
Special Person's Day May 15th: This is a Kindergarten tradition and a great day! We have lots of Race themed activities planned. An invitation was sent home last week and needs to be returned to school by May 8th. We are hoping that all students can have a special person join us, but realize this is not always possible with busy schedules. Please let me know if your child will not have anyone joining them so that we can be sure to buddy them up with another friend in class.
Author's Night Tuesday, May 19th 6-7pm: Note this is a date change from last week's newsletter. We had to adjust the nights due to a scheduling conflict. An invitation was sent home today with all the information about this fun evening. Please return your RSVP to school. The class is working hard on our research projects and we can't wait to share them with all of you!
