Techy Tidbits
Great Tools and more!
The first one is so awesome. Please check it out the video below for Classroom Screen. It is completely free to use. You can use this handy tool to display a beautiful screen of your choice and then load it up with all the widgets that you want. For example: timer, name selector, sound level meter, written directions, etc. The screen can also be split in two for two sets of info. for each group. You gotta really love this one!
More great tools...
Another tool she shared is Loom. Their motto: "Send a Video not a Thousand Words!". I sometimes find myself texting a lot of words when I could have just as easy called a person. The same could apply with directions for your students. You could create a quick video vs. typing up the directions or create a quick video for students who missed the lesson. Our former computer literacy teacher, Veronica, and I are always sending each other screencasts when either of us need a tutorial on something. So I am definitely going to check this one out. https://www.useloom.com/
PearDeck is the last little goodie, that I want to share, courtesy of Leah. Think presentation & an interactive student response tools rolled into one. This is such a useful tool for formative assessments. To learn more, go to this link: https://www.peardeck.com/
