Getting Your Google On!

Yes - we are now a Google Apps for Education District (GAFE)! All staff and students have their own Google Account. If you are interested in using Google Apps for your classroom or with students please contact Tracey or Claudio to get started.

Please note if you are planning to use Google Apps in your classroom with students, you need to use your district account and not a personal account that you created.

Student Email - Gmail for grades 1-9; Microsoft 365 for grades 10-12

We are transitioning student email to Gmail. Students in grades 1st through 9th will now use Gmail. Their address is FirstnameLastname@chisd.org and the link to access their account is http://mail.chisd.org. Students in grades 10th, 11th and 12th will continue to use Microsoft365 email. Those addresses are FirstnameLastname@student.chisd.net and the link to access their account is https://outlook.office365.com. Both links can be under the student tab on the district website.

iPad Innovation - Register Today for the iPad Knight Training Academy

iPad Innovation Training and Distribution has begun. There are still spots open!

Based on best practices, iPad deployment this time around is different. Teacher iPads are being distributed at specific iPad trainings. Any classroom teacher wishing to receive an iPad for use in their classroom will be required to attend a 1 hour training. Upon completion of the training, teachers will be able to check out the iPad.

We are offering multiple sessions several days each week. Each session will be maxed out at 20 attendees. This will ensure effective and efficient training. We will continue to offer iPad trainings as long as they are well attended.
