Celebrating Excellence: Northwest High School's National Honor Society Ceremony
Northwest High School recently held a prestigious ceremony to honor 49 students for their academic achievements and community involvement. The event celebrated not only the students but also their families, administrators, and the strong support network within the Mountie Nation.
The ceremony began by expressing gratitude to parents, family members, and administrators, recognizing their crucial role in the students' success. The legacy of the National Honor Society was evident, with current members symbolizing the society's rich history and future leaders eagerly awaiting their induction.
The keynote speaker, Mr. Stafford Newsome, a dedicated educator and former NWHS Social Studies teacher, highlighted the commitment to education and leadership. The candle-lighting ceremony, led by NHS officers, emphasized Scholarship, Service, Character, and Leadership, showcasing outstanding contributions in these areas.
The new member presentation, led by the administrative team, marked a pivotal moment. New inductees received their NHS membership pins and certificates, symbolizing their commitment to excellence. The recognition of current members and the recitation of the NHS Pledge reinforced the collective strength of the society. Please congratulate our new members if you see them!
