Altar Server Training

Altar Server Training will be held on Wednesday, May 18 and Thursday, May 19 from 3:15-4:45. Open to current grades 5th -8th graders. Students receiving the training must attend both days to complete the training. Please confirm attendance to Mrs. Benson via email: nbenson@smgschool.org.

School Supplies and Summer Reading

School supply lists have been greatly reduced and more information will come by the end of the week.


Summer Reading lists will be sent with students the last week of school. Teachers will review the assignments that will go along with summer reading prior to students leaving for the year. We will also post books and assignments on our website.

SMG Student Selected for UTA's Engineering Camp

Oscar Morales was selected to participate in the Entry to Engineering Day Camp at UT Arlington. This camp is for 6th-8th graders and is a weeklong day camp where they get exposed to different branches of Engineering. They selected 50 students out of 130 applicants based on an application, grades for this year and last and an evaluation form from his Math teacher (Mr. Sulak).

8th Grade Retreat at The Pines Catholic Camp

Words can't even express this powerful experience! Thank you to all of our families, teachers, and Father Luke for the long hours it took to make this incredible day full of Christ happen! Every second was totally embraced and the Holy Spirit was definitely present!

(Hotdogs provided by the school and snacks and drinks provided by each class)

12:00-2:30 - 3rd-6th grade Field Day Activities


Reminders:

1) Please apply sunscreen on your children prior to coming to school (the school is not allowed to apply sunscreen per diocesan policy)

2) Lunch will be provided

3) Small backpacks with a hat, towel, and water bottle are encouraged

4) Students should wear athletic shorts, SMG shirt, and closed toed tennis shoes

Calling all Holy Communion students or eighth graders! Ads for the 2015-2016 yearbook will be accepted through the next two weeks. Get your forms filled out and turned into the front office! Businesses may also sponsor a student if desired.
