We hope you have enjoyed a healthy and restful summer. We are looking forward to
welcoming our students back for the 2022-2023 school year.
While the details of the beginning of the year are still being finalized, we wanted to share a few key points that will keep you up to date with communications throughout the year.
We will begin to share more details in the upcoming weeks as they become available.

Download the Parent Square app or create an account online to control how often and in
which ways you receive district and school communications.
Note that you do not have to create an account to still receive communications. The account simply allows you more control over how and how often you receive communications.

Registration Details
Dear Milwaukie High School/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts Students and Parents:
We look forward to welcoming students for the 2022-2023 school year. This letter will provide information and links to allow families to complete registration completely online. In-person support to help complete these online steps will be available on
August 23rd from 12-3 & 4-6 (Last Names A-L) and
August 24th @ 12-3 & 4-6 (Last Names M-Z)
Please read the below information carefully and contact our office if you have any questions.
REGISTRATION: All students are required to validate their registration each year. A link to this process is available on the Milwaukie HS website: https://www.nclack.k12.or.us/registration
SCHOOL PICTURES: School photos will be taken in the Commons on August 23 and 24 from
12 pm-3 and 4-6pm during registration. The packet to order school pictures will be mailed home directly from Dorian Studios. We remind students and families that these photos may be used for online learning tool identification, yearbook photos, and ID cards.
PICTURE MAKE-UP: (you did not take a photo during registration): September 8th
PICTURE RETAKE DAY: (you did not like the photo you already took during registration):
November 1st
FEES: We ask that fees be paid with a debit or credit card on-line or by check via mail.
HERE is the link to the fee payment system; it can also be accessed through the MHS website under Parents> Parent Payment Portal. There is NO service fee for card transactions.

Support for online fee payment will be available during registration; students may also bring a check to registration (receipts will be provided).
FREE AND REDUCED LUNCH INFORMATION: We encourage eligible families to complete a free/reduced lunch application to help support the costs of any school or college application/credit associated fees incurred throughout the year.
Titan: Will be available at a later date to add money into your student’s account. Breakfast meals cost $2.25, lunch meals cost $3.60, and milk cost $0.50. Any funds left in your My School Bucks account will roll over to the new system, Titan. More information on Titan will be coming soon.
Bus Schedules and Bus Stop Information: will go live during the 3rd week of August. Student’s 6 digit number and date of birth is needed to access information.
TEXTBOOKS: All textbooks will be checked out during the school day. However, you can return any overdue textbooks at our library table during registration.
STUDENTS NOT RETURNING TO MHS: If your student does not plan to return to MHS, please
notify our Registrar at 503-353-5830, ext. 38308.
COUNSELING OFFICE HOURS: During the school year from 7:30 am-3:30 pm,
Counselors will be available by appointment. Counselors are also available by appointment for new student enrollment meetings during registration. Please email counselors with questions and/or appointment requests.
STUDENT SCHEDULES will be available on StudentVue on Monday, September 5th.
ON-LINE ATHLETIC REGISTRATION: Athletes may be registered online at https://hello.familyid.com/ Additional information available at: www.milwaukieathletics.com or by calling the athletic office: 503-353-5830 ext 38301. In-person support will be available during registration days (times listed above).
Student physicals can be loaded directly to Family ID (recommended) or brought into the school. The physical is valid for two years only.
ON-LINE ATHLETIC REGISTRATION
Payments can be made online, mailed, or hand delivered during registration.
Payment/proof of payment is required to complete the registration process. Please
contact the athletic office if financial support is needed.
NCSD Student/Family Handbook: We ask that you review the following information before registration. We will acknowledge that you were given information about the Student & Family Handbook through the online registration process. NCSD Student Family Handbook
FRESHMAN AND NEW STUDENT ASSURANCE DAY: The first day of school for freshmen is
September 6th from 8:35am–3:10pm. This is not a school day for all other students. School
buses will be on regular bus routes. School breakfast and lunch will be available for students to purchase.
