A Note From Mr. Archer
Minnehaha Family:
I want to once again thank you for all you are doing to keep our school safe and our students healthy. I am knocking on wood as I type this, but we have gone over 2 1/2 months without a COVID case at the Minnehaha. The successful return to school has been the result of a partnership between parents, the community, and the school. Because of your diligence we have been able to return and stay in the "in person" model. By using this time to focus on critical content, we have been able to make up for lost ground. Every day we can have students in the building, the more successful our students will be.
I know as we continue to see success and this difficult school year starts to draw to a close, there will be a temptation to let down our guard and relax our efforts. We still ask all students and adults to wear masks when they are in the building and until they are off of school property. We still require 3 foot distancing in the building. This week I took time to talk with staff about the importance of maintaining our mitigation strategies. I also scheduled time for teachers to discuss the same thing with our students.
I would ask that you continue to do what you have been doing to support your student(s) and school. Please remind your student(s) the importance of wearing their mask properly and please maintain critical distancing and masking in public. Stay diligent and we will wrap up the year successfully.

Student Spotlight ~ Matthew Boyer
Matthew is a kindergarten student who excels in demonstrating what it means to be respectful, responsible, and safe. He is always eager to contribute to class discussions, help with cleaning the classrooms and halls, or help a friend in need. He always uses his manners and lately has been providing feedback for peers on their math assignments, turning into a pint-sized math teacher! Matthew loves to "run around" and share his knowledge of different topics. At home he especially enjoys riding his bike and going fishing. He likes to tell people that he has 4 people in his family - mom, dad, and his sibling who is actually a dog :)
Way to go, Matthew! Keep up the great work.
