Some items that we are looking for are: board games, Squishmallows, sport items, craft kits, smaller gift cards, and other trinkets.
Walk to School Day - The National Walk To School Day is October 12th. Please see the attached flyer for more information.
ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL AND OUR PETS
Illinois public schools are required by law to provide all students, from Grades Pre-K through 12, with age-appropriate personal safety awareness and prevention education. In order to comply with the requirement to provide developmentally sensitive and appropriate training for students, lessons have been carefully developed by Mental Health professionals in District 15. Classroom teachers have received annual professional development on this topic since the 2013-14 school year.
Our students will have their classroom presentations the week of November 28th.
MOVING 15 FORWARD
The Moving 15 Forward plan addresses three major areas of improvement: Repair and Restore Facilities, Update Learning Spaces, and Improve Student Transitions. The plan would also bring Full-Day Kindergarten to our elementary schools. Learn more about the plan at www.ccsd15.net/Moving15Forward.
District 15 will be hosting informational meetings on the following dates:
- October 5 - Virtual Meeting
October 6 - Thomas Jefferson Elementary School (Thomas Jefferson Middle School if the measure is approved)
October 11 - Winston Campus Junior High
October 13 - Plum Grove Junior High
October 20 - Carl Sandburg Junior High
October 25 - Walter R. Sundling Junior High

Ways to Vote:
On Friday, November 11th, we would like to arrange for our student body to hear from a few of our Veterans and we are in need of some help. We are looking for a few Veterans who would be willing to speak to our students as part of a Veterans Day event- just a few words or thoughts. If you or someone you know would be interested in sharing a few words with our students as a whole, please reach out to Mrs. Lota (email@example.com). We greatly appreciate your help and believe it will create a memorable experience for everyone.
