Student Council Project

Student Council collected and sent care packages to a National Guard unit that is currently serving in Kuwait during October and November. Student Council members and sponsors would like to thank everyone who donated items. We have heard back from the unit, and they are extremely appreciative of the care packages!

Focus on Reading

The staff at Everton has set a goal to increase the love of reading. With technology becoming more and more a part of life, we don't want to forget that there is nothing that can replace the experience of reading a good book. Many of the classrooms have increased the amount of time for students to simply read. Each grade is also reading a book together each quarter. During the first quarter each grade read a mystery book. During the second quarter, students were given a book to read that became a movie. We want to encourage our students that reading can take place anywhere (in the car on a trip, during commercials on TV, etc.). Please help us inspire our children to read. Simply sitting together and listening to your child read to you makes memories!
