Elementary Student Holiday / Staff Workday - Monday, Feb. 20th
As a reminder, Monday, February 20 is an elementary student holiday/staff workday. There will not be on-campus/online classes for elementary students. Middle and High School on-campus/online students have school on Monday.
The elementary holiday/staff workdays are listed on the 2022-2023 District calendar. There is one more remaining following the February 20 date:
- Remaining Elementary Holiday/Staff Workdays: Feb. 20, March 20
*These days apply only to elementary students and are used for teacher professional development.
The Lake Houston YMCA offers in-service camps. Online registration is required. For questions regarding the YMCA in-service camps, please call 281-360-2500.
Friday, February 24th is Go Texan Day- Chili Cookoff, Silent Auction, and 1st Grade Performance
Dust off those boots and grab your hats, our EGE Annual Chili Cook-Off is quickly approaching! PTA will host this event in the EGE Cafeteria beginning at 6 p.m. on Friday, February 24th - Go Texan Day! If you would like to submit a chili for the competition, please complete our Chili Cook-Off Entry Form. The deadline to sign up for the Chili Cook-Off is 8:00 PM Wednesday, February 22nd!!
If you would like to lend a hand to make this event great, sign up to volunteer here. Don't miss the chili tasting, Silent Auction, and the 1st grade performance this Friday!

Humble ISD Health and Wellness Fair -Thursday, Feb. 23rd
The Humble ISD Mental Health & Wellness Fair is from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 23, at Atascocita High School, 13300 Will Clayton Parkway in Humble. The Mental Health & Wellness Fair is a free event organized to help raise awareness and allow an opportunity to meet and greet with local mental health and wellness providers to learn about available resources in the community! Door prizes, food trucks & more!

Attendance Matters
Attendance is very important to a child's education. If your child(ren) have to be absent for any reason, please report the absence.
When reporting an absence, it is important to include the child's first and last name, the teacher's name, date(s) they were absent, and the reason for the absence. Listed below are some options on how you can report an absence.
