The Sun Will Shine Again!

Killian Family,

Let's continue to keep our neighbors and the community at large in our thoughts. Fortunately, the school did not sustain any substantial damages but some other schools in the district as well as families were not as fortunate. Our very own Mrs. Adams has experienced significant damage due to the flood. Please keep her in your thoughts. If anyone else has sustained loss, please let us know. We are family and we will pull together to help each other in whatever way we can.

Daily Schedule for Student Late Start Days

As was indicated by our School Superintendent, Dr. Hamm, on WIS News 10, we will resume school Monday, August 12, 2015 with a two-hour delay for students. Teachers and all school staff are required to report to work at their regular time each day to receive students in order to avoid hardships for parents who must return to work. All schools will be opened at the regular time. If you have a child in the district, you can drop your child off at his/her school at their regular time.

Please be reminded you may not be able to take your normal direct route to school. If an alternate route is necessary, please allow additional time for travel to work.

In order to provide teachers with their planning time, we will maintain our normal related arts schedule. The lunch schedule will also remain intact unless we discover later adjustments are needed.

Our 21st Century Program will not operate until further notice due to the uncertainty of district transportation.

Upcoming Birthdays!

Helping Our Community

Killian Elementary was fortunate enough to be able to provide breakfast and lunch to families in our area on Thursday, October 8 and Friday, October 9. Over 200 breakfasts and lunches were served over the two days. A huge thanks to Sodexo and all faculty members who came out to volunteer their time to make these meals a success! A special thanks to Mrs. Amy Hart, our Social Worker, for the HUGE support she provided for families in a number of schools in our district to include Killian elementary. She has delivered food, water, and provided logistical support for families to get their needs met by various agencies and organizations.
