What are we learning this week?
Math: We will be finishing up our Topic 8 this week and having a test on Thursday. We will continue to learn how to add double digit numbers and review different ways we can add numbers together.
Writing: We will be able to understand the difference between a want and need. We will also continue to write super second grade sentences to practice adding details to a very simple sentence.
Reading: We will be comparing and contrasting different Cinderella stories from other cultures. This ties into our world unit and understanding about other cultures. We will also understand how to find the central message of a story.
Technology: We will be finishing up our Native American presentations this week. We have been using an app called 30 hands to take pictures and record the facts we learned about our tribes. Hopefully, if everything goes smoothly, I will be able to send you the link to your child's presentation that you may watch and listen too. Technology is a tricky thing sometimes!
we'll, I'll, we're, they're, you've, I've, you'd, they'd, he'll, she'll, you're, they've, we've, we'd, haven't, won't
Contractions are shortened forms of a word or group of words. The omitted letters are often replaced in written English by an apostrophe, such as I've (I have) and he will (he will).
