November 17, 2021

Dear Parents,

We are rapidly approaching our Thanksgiving holiday break so I want to wish your family a happy and restful holiday respite next week. The days are moving quickly right now so the moments together with family and friends over the next few weeks will be special opportunities to reconnect.

  • November 24-26, 2021 -Thanksgiving Break holiday- no school

Please note the following school and district news below:

  • Students must sit in assigned bus seats and have masks on while on the bus. Students will not be able to participate in Test to Stay if they are not correctly and consistently masked on the buses, and delays in identifying close contacts can impact our ability to implement Test to Stay as well. Bus footage is viewed to determine assigned seat and mask compliance.

  • Report cards will be viewable on the Infinite Campus Parent Portal starting November 23, 2021.

  • Holiday vacations: Please let your student’s teacher and the attendance line know if your child will be out of town. Children who are traveling out of the country will need to follow local health department guidelines regarding quarantine rules before returning to school.

    • Students that miss school due to vacations will not receive work from classroom teachers in advance of the vacation and are not eligible for virtual instruction. Only children quarantined due to Covid 19 are eligible for virtual learning.

  • With winter snowflakes appearing, please make sure your child dresses for the weather with a jacket, hat, mittens/gloves, snow pants, and boots. Please help us keep your child’s belongings out of the Lost and Found by putting their name in their belongings.

  • COVID updates- There have been two positive staff and one positive student COVID cases reported at Rose School this week. You can also check the district COVID Dashboard for up-to-date district COVID information if you have additional questions about positive cases and quarantines.

Warm Regards,

Heather Schumacher
