Hi everyone! I hope this newsletter is finding you well.
If you're receiving this newsletter, then your child has been accepted into Daniel Webster for the 2023-2024 school year. My name is Max Gardner, and I'm the principal here at DW. We are so excited to welcome you to our amazing, tight-knit community.
More information will be sent to all confirmed incoming families this summer with more information about the start of the school year, after school care registration, and more.
Please read below for some important information about confirming your placement at Daniel Webster, some exciting upcoming events, and a letter from our PTA leadership team.

Accepting your Placement At Daniel Webster
There are two ways for families to accept or decline their placements from March 20 through April 7, 2023
- Online: Parents can sign into ParentVue to accept or decline the school assignment. You are able to help students accept or decline their assignment in ParentVue by clicking “Login as Parent” from the parent page in Synergy. More instructions on how to do this is here
- By Paper Form: Parents can complete the response sheet that was included in the assignment letter and return to the EPC using one of the methods outlined at www.sfusd.edu/MainRound (emailing it or delivering it to the EPC). Emails and paper applications must be received by April 7, 2023.

You all are invited to join our virtual PTA Meeting on Tuesday, April 18th at 7pm, where we will vote on budgetary measures for the 2023-2024 school year.

Dear Incoming Kindergarten Families,
We are so excited to meet and welcome you! We have a uniquely engaged, vibrant, and fun-loving community of families who believe in public education and the teamwork required to make it all happen. We can’t wait to welcome you into it!
Our PTA does so much to support our school, from running great events throughout the year to galvanizing volunteer sign-ups to raising funds for the resources that benefit all the kids. You can learn a lot about what we do by visiting our website at https://sites.google.com/view/dw-pta/home.
It's never too early to get involved . . . you can join in even before you're officially here! Here are some events to consider checking out (details for all of these are on the website):
Tuesday, April 18 PTA meeting to vote on next year's budget, 7pm on zoom
Friday, April 21 Circus Night event on our yard at 6pm
Tuesday, May 9 final PTA meeting of the year (7pm on zoom)
