Mission Statement
The Eucharistic community of Saint Paschal Baylon Catholic School
focuses on Christ-centered values and develops the unique potential of each student
through a rigorous and engaging curriculum.
A Note from the Principal
It was so wonderful to have so many of you participate in our Virtual Parent Open House last week! As I mentioned in my video message, that evening was one of the first opportunities for us to build a positive relationship between home and school. Thank you for seeing the value in that evening.
I encourage you to read the letter regarding MAP testing that can be found here. To prepare your child, be sure he/she gets enough sleep each night and eats a healthy breakfast each morning. I would encourage him/her to bring along a healthy snack to eat and water to drink during the day. All of these things will help your children as they prepare to take the tests each day. The MAP testing window is from Monday, September 14 to Friday, October 2.
Finally, our annual Magazine Sale kicks off today and runs through September 24th. Please check out the materials in your child's communication folder today. The profits from the Magazine Sale go into our school budget and will help to defray the additional costs of keeping our school clean and our students safe during the pandemic. PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE ARE NO PAPER ORDERS THIS YEAR. Thanks for your support!
Grace and peace,
Ms. Diane Raguz, Principal
Welcome, New Staff Members!
Opening School Reminders
- Replenish or set up your child's hot lunch account?
- Send in your child's Milk Fee of $45.00? As of Monday, September 14, only students who have paid for milk will be allowed to take one with lunch.
- Grades 5-8: send in a check for $30.00 for Chromebook insurance?
- Send in registration forms and fees for Before Care and/or After Care?
Kindly remember that drop off of forgotten lunches, snacks, water bottles, homework, Chromebooks, etc. is not permitted at this time. Students are permitted to borrow a Chromebook from the Jansky Learning Center, and we have water bottles, snacks, and hot lunch available daily. Thank you for your cooperation.
Arrival and Dismissal Reminders
ARRIVAL:
- Students arriving by car are not permitted in the building until 7:40 a.m. Remember, if you need to drop off your child earlier, you can enroll him or her in the Before Care program.
- Please pull up further beyond the overhang (by the sign) so that more cars can empty at once.
- Make sure your child is ready to leave your car before you stop. If you need to take some time with him or her, park in the parking lot and walk your child over to the school. No child is permitted to walk across the parking lot on his/her own, and parents must accompany them as they cross the car line to the overhang.
- Remember when children are exiting your car, all should exit on the passenger side for safety reasons.
- As you leave, please proceed to Blue Ribbon Way (exiting on Wilson Mills) only.
- Buses have the right of way. Please allow them down the driveway before your car. Often bus drivers will allow cars to go first, but never count on it!
- Give your child enough time to walk to his/her homeroom. As the weather changes, the car rider line becomes longer and time gets later. Develop the habit of getting here with many minutes to spare!
DISMISSAL:
- Students are being dismissed in letter groups so if you are in the last half of the alphabet, your child will not be out right away. We will probably change the order by quarter.
- Please remember not to congregate at dismissal. Once you have your child/ren, please leave the campus. The playground is not open after school.
- Please practice and model good habits for our students when picking them up after school. Maintain social distance and wear masks.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as the safety of all of our students is our foremost concern.
Uniform Reminder
School Picture Day
If your child is a simultaneous learner, we are setting aside 1:00-2:00 pm on Tuesday, September 15 if you wish to bring your child in for school pictures. Simply ring the bell and you will be admitted to go directly to the Eymard Room to have their picture taken. You may also wait until re-take day on Tuesday, October 27. Order online or complete a picture day form at that time.

7th & 8th Grade Parents-We Need YOU!
We are asking that each family (mom, dad, grandma, etc.) choose at least two days to volunteer each time slot being 11:10 am-12:50 pm. There are many, many time slots open! We are so grateful for the help!
This is a great way for you to interact with your child and his/her classmates during the school day! Recess Volunteers should arrive to school at 11:10 and check in at the office. Duties will include supervising students at recess, escorting the students to and from the school doors. Volunteers will be with one school staff member each day to help direct.
Remember that after your two volunteer time slots, you are done for the year, as each month is assigned to a different grade.
COVID-19 Volunteer Protocol: all recess volunteers are required to wear a mask and complete the Visitor Self-Screening form when they arrive at school.
Thank you again for your time and service to the students and teachers of SPB! Simply click on the following links to sign up: Grade 8, Grade 7
