Student Spotlight
Addie Klebba
Nominated By: Mrs. Coffman
I am honored to nominate Addie Klebba for Safety of the Month for March. Addie is a treasure to have at morning bus duty with Mrs. West and me. She is part of the “Addie’s.” Addie Klebba and Addie Parisi have stepped up to help us without being asked and with such dedication. We cannot do without our Addie’s. Some mornings we might be a little short-handed but not when they are there. Each morning Addie Klebba picks up either the walkie talkie or the clip board and relieves Mrs. West and I of having to mark off the buses when they arrive. This way, we can watch all the students exiting the bus safely. Addie is responsible each day as a Safety. She makes sure all the buses have arrived and keeps us informed if one has not arrived yet. She does all of this with a smile. Addie is always ready to help us, and she is so responsible that she never misses her post. Addie is just one part of an amazing duo on morning buses. Mrs. West and I are thankful for both Addie’s. Please know that Addie Klebba is an outstanding Safety and Great Grizzly who can always be counted on. We are proud of her each day. I look forward to the rest of the school year with Addie as a bus duty Safey.
Addie Parisi
Nominated By: Mrs. West
I would like to nominate Addie Parisi for Safety of the Month. Addie is part of our dynamic duo we call “Our Addies”. She and Addie Klebba have stepped into and stepped up their roles as Safeties and help make bus arrival run smoothly each morning. With many Safeties having other obligations to fill in the morning, Mrs. Coffman and I have noticed and been so grateful to see Addie jump in wherever she is needed. We never need to ask, as Addie anticipates where she is needed without direction. Addie takes responsibility for the bus clipboard on many mornings checking off as each bus arrives. She knows and shares how many busses we are still waiting on to arrive. Many mornings, Addie has the walkie-talkie in hand and shares information with us regarding changes in bus arrival communicated from the office. Also, Addie meets and greets busses as they arrive to ensure safe exit from the bus, the parking lot and into the building. I often notice our littlest Grizzlies seeking Addie out to help them find their way to the kindergarten door. Addie does this and all things with kindness, respect and patience. She exemplifies all our Great Grizzly themes in her role as Safety and she is an asset to the team. Thank you, Addie, for all you do each morning to make arrival a safe and enjoyable experience for all our Groveland students and staff. Your hard work and commitment to your role is noticed and appreciated very much.

ATTENTION READING OLYMPIC PARTICIPANTS AND FAMILIES
Groveland Update
Our students have been preparing for the annual Bucks County Reading Olympics. Read Olympic family members are welcome to join us on Wednesday April 19, 2023. This event is an enjoyable, rewarding experience for everyone who attends. To ensure a successful evening, we are asking for cooperation from Reading Olympics Families with the guidelines that are listed below:
- Our host school this year is Warwick Elementary School.
- This is a heavily attended event. Try to carpool so that traffic jams can be prevented. For parking, the main lot of the school will be open and we are also using the parking lot at St. Cyril's (the church across Meetinghouse Rd from the school).
- Registration begins at 5:30 pm, and participating students and families should go directly to their Round 1 assigned room at that time. The competition begins promptly at 6 pm. Allow time for parking and finding the assigned classroom.
- Keep in mind that small children will not have the attention span for this academic event and may be happier at home.
- Food and beverages (except bottled water) are not allowed at the Olympics. This rule applies to both participants and spectators.
- Parents are spectators, not participants. Please do not interfere with the questioning process or challenge the judges’ decisions.
- If you cannot attend, please make transportation arrangements for your child with another team member.
- All students should wear their team t-shirts on competition night.
This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate reading and the variety of worthwhile reading experiences students have had as a participant in the Reading Olympics.
Sincerely,
Colleen Daley
Groveland Elementary Reading Olympics Coordinator

Technology & Innovation
Laptop Breakage
We have seen a rise in the amount of screen breaks for student laptops. Our policy covers for 2 broken screens per device. If your child’s laptop screen breaks 3 times, we will be required to send you an invoice for the repair and labor. The current cost for this is $200. Please remind your child to care for their laptops. Some simple steps to assist are:
- Use two hands when holding or moving the device.
- Use clean hands while using the laptop or iPad.
- Use only the provided digital pen or finger on the screen.
- Use only the power adapter that came with the device.
- Use a microfiber cloth to clean the screen.
- Keep device stored in the provided case. This includes traveling through the hallways, on buses, or anytime the device is not being utilized.
- Make sure nothing is on the keyboard, close the lid, and remove all cables if any are plugged into the laptop. Place laptop in your bag carefully.
- Be careful when placing your case on the floor. Keep the device off the floor so screens do not get stepped on by others.
