News from this week
The Boosterthon was a great success. Thank you to all who donated! Our class reached $40 per lap so far and the students earned several incentives such as wearing socks in the classroom, pajamas, and a hat. Your generosity and support are greatly appreciated. The students had a great time running their laps. Envelopes and a summary of monies due was sent home Thursday with your child. The website will be open until Wednesday, 11/18, for anyone who has not yet donated but would like to. All money is due next Wednesday, November 18.
We have had a busy few weeks as we try to learn a lot of information before the Thanksgiving break. We will have our SS assessment on the 13 colonies next Friday. Please help your child review the notes in their SS journals. We will also take our assessment on Light on Friday as well. They have been learning all about light in their Science specials and we will review it in class next week as well. Please make sure they review their notes and do their homework daily.
There is a special reading log for Thanksgiving week. It is in your child’s Friday Folder today. Please have your child use it to record his/her reading for the next 2 weeks. It is due the day we return from our fall break. I explained it to the students today. Our regular reading log is still due this Monday.
Have a great weekend and stay warm!
