Principal's Note
Now that spring break is behind us, and vaccinations are underway for many, it feels a little like we can start breathing again! I am anxious for the days to become longer and for warmer weather. I love Spring because it is literally a time of growth and rebirth. The flowers are blooming, birds shed their winter shyness and the sunrise begins a new routine, awakening us once again each morning.
I am also filled with thoughts of important things that must be accomplished in the next few months. We still have a lot of learning to do, a few tests to take, and some GREAT fun to have. This year our spring activities will look a little different perhaps, but they will all be there. We will still have our traditional spring MAP testing. We will still have our Field Day and 5th Grade celebrations - those details will be forthcoming! We will still work with each and every student to maximize their learning.
This year has been a long haul. Now that we are into spring, it is a great time to reflect on all the progress you have seen your child make this year. It is a great time to renew your energy to help your child have a great end of the school year. April and May go so quickly.
Stay with us, stay involved, and, vaccination or no, stay safe!
-Ms. Dane

Ipad/Macbook Damage
Please do not take our devices to outside places to be serviced! You will, most likely, end up paying more and it could damage the device further - costing you double in the end!
Insurance purchase is no longer available for this school year. However, we will send devices home next year and we encourage everyone to purchase insurance.
Daycare Assistance
Below is a Missouri notice that childcare subsidy is currently available to help working parents of school-age children pay for full-day childcare on days their children’s school is not in-person. It is also available for up to 90 days for parents looking or work. Parents must apply before December 31, 2020 using one of the following options:
- The best place to apply is online: https://apps.dss.mo.gov/fmwBenefitCenter/Account/SignInInfo.aspx.
- Paper application is also available: https://dss.mo.gov/fsd/child-care.htm
Applying online gives parents the ability to know the status of their application at any time. It helps ensure the documents uploaded are connected to their case, even if there is not clearly identifying information on it. It avoids the challenges encountered when connecting through the phone system.
(LINC/MARC can also help grandparents or other home-based providers get registered to receive state payment. It’s a lot to do but we can help them through it.)
I have attached a copy of the printer-friendly flier. Please contact me if you have any questions.
Thanks,
