No Teacher Left Behind Act. How would you suggest we, as a nation, provide consistent learning opportunities for teachers and ensure that they are not left behind in learning about new techniques and strategies?
Teachers need to be tested often to see where they are at in the latest techniques in learning. They need to come up with strategies to improve how they will keep up with 21st century technology.
Should all teachers across the country use certain practices? If so, what would those be?
Yes all teachers should be on the latest practices skills so they can teach more effectively. Teachers should have workshops on the latest tools and any new changes that the school board come up to make sure students are learning on the proper level and above.
Should there be a consistent standard for all teachers to meet, just as students must pass high stakes tests?
Yes, the School State Board should make sure all their teachers are tested to see if they are up to date on new skills and tools.
If so, what would be the standard?
Teachers should have a set of standard just like students have. Teachers need be required to be tested and knowledgeable on how to teach in the 21st century. They should be assessed to make sure their skills are update.
Lastly, share your thoughts on how well teachers are being prepared to master the ISTE Standards for Teachers standards in their classrooms.
Teachers are beginning to be taught to improve their professional skills. They are having training and workshops to enhance their skills in the digital area. They are getting the professional growth they need to keep update with the 21st century.
