Transforming Student Learning with Ed Tech Standards
To learn more about the Washington adopted Technology Standards and how to integrate them into your daily lessons, please join us at the Transforming Student Learning with Ed Tech Standards workshop February 2nd from 9:00-3:30 at the Colville Jr. High Library. Participants must enroll online using the OSPI PD Enroller. Six FREE clock hours will be provided. Feel free to contact Bill Brooks and/or Christina Green for more information.
Tech Tip #1: Directly Insert Link in Google Apps
Instead of adding a long URL hyperlink to your document, you can add a direct link using text. Watch this short video to see how you can change the look of your documents. You can also click the link below for more information!
Tech Tip #2: Explore Tool in Google Apps
Using the Explore tool allows you to search the web, images and your Google Drive without even leaving the document you are working on. This tools is available in Google Doc, Sheets and Slides. To read more about this feature, click the link below and/or watch the short video from Ed Tech.

Transforming Student Learning with Ed Tech Standards
Presenters from OSPI will be in our district to provide this free Ed Tech Session! This workshop is designed to provide educators with strategies to transform student learning using the state’s updated Educational Technology Learning Standards. These standards are based upon the 2016 Technology Standards for Students released by the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), and can integrated into lessons in virtually all content areas. Participants will gain a general understanding of the standards, and ideas for implementing them at all levels. This training is sponsored by the WA State Library, WLA, and OSPI, and 6 free clock hours will be available to attendees.
