Materials Needed: A deck of cards (If needed create your own with paper) Remove all Face
cards (King, Queen and Jack), Aces and 10 cards
Pencil/Paper
Place the 2-9 cards face down
Pick 3 cards to create a 3 digit number
Pick 1 more card you will divide the 3 digit number by that number represented by that card
Record you answer on a piece of paper
Repeat this activity 4 times

Tuesday, April 14th
Question: What Cleans Pennies the Best?
Fill 3 cups with small amounts of different substances (soy sauce, ketchup, mustard, mayo,
BBQ sauce, plain water, jelly, pickle juice, lemon juice & milk).
Make Predictions: Which substance will clean the penny the best, which will not clean the
penny.
Drop a penny into each substance. Make sure the penny is covered. Leave it for 30 minutes.
Then wash and/or wipe each penny off with a paper towel or towel.
Write about your results. Tell me what happened? Did you get the results you expected? Which
one worked the best? Which one didn’t work? Anything surprise you about your findings?

Shape Hunt
Walk around and identify different shapes and angles in your home. Use a piece of paper to
write about those that you find.
Find 5 different shapes- identify what object makes the shape you identified.
Find an 2 Acute angles, 2 Obtuse angles, and 2 Right angles- Write on the the piece of paper
what made each angle
Practice Multiplication
Write out all your 7’s 1-12 (7X1, 7X2, 7X3)
Write out all your 8’s 1-12 (8X7, 8X8, 8X9)

Create an acrostic using your last name to name countries around the world. (Not states, towns

Mrs. Casey's 4th Grade Resources Week Two
Mrs. Casey's lesson plans for week 2-4th Grade Monday/Wednesday:
Students will reinforce the skills we have worked on in class involving following directions, sequence, and order.
Students will follow directions and make something with a family member. It can be a craft, putting something together, following a recipe, etc. Students will then write a small summary explaining how they made it, or send a picture of what they made back to me on Remind.
