The Weekly Wrap-Up

REACH High School

May 15-19 (35th Edition)

Pre-Graduation Edition!

A Message from Mr. Licciardi

Dear REACH Community,

We are soon to approach our final full week of school but it has not slowed us down a bit. I can hardly believe it. This week we administered our final cycle of MAP Testing. Nice work to all for making it happen seamlessly. We also had Ms. Heredia from TCC guide students through the application process as well as experience a presentation around fentanyl awareness. We also celebrated the ALC team at our annual campus awards ceremony. Lastly, we shouted our graduates at CISD's annual clap-out. It was so nice to reconnect with students and families at the Senior Breakfast.

Now the focus of our work is the graduation ceremony and positioning students for success by taking advantage of Accelerated Learning for Summer School.

On a wonderful note, it is with great excitement that our campus has a nomination entered for Teacher of the Year!! The nominee for our campus is Mrs. Prado.

Reminder #1: Attendance truly matters to avoid a Truancy Prevention Measure and fine and the students' eligibility to earn credits in order to graduate as planned. Remember, attendance is crucial when a passing grade academically cannot be granted if students have 10 or more absences. For some, it will prevent you from walking the stage in May. Also, below is new information on events for eligible seniors.

Reminder #2: Please take the steps to enroll for the upcoming school. You can do so by visiting Skyward. Click here.

MAP Testing

What? Why? When?

REACH High School is participating in a Measures of Academic Progress Test. We will be using results from the test over the course of the year to help track student progress so that teachers are positioned to tailor their instruction to meet the needs of all learners. In addition, the test results will be neatly packaged into reports for students and families equipping them with meaningful performance information.

The next cycle of testing will be in May.
