Cost - $5.00 (50% goes back to the South Creek PTO!)

Fall Break

Just a reminder that we will not have school the week of October 12 and October 19. Students will return to school on Monday, October 26. I hope everyone has a fun, safe, relaxing break. Don't forget to read over break! Enjoy Fall Break!

Smencil Sale!

Student Council will be selling Smencils (smelly pencils) the week after Fall Break (October 26 - 30). The cost is $1.00 each. Students can buy the pencils outside of our classroom each day before school. These are always very popular and will sell out quickly. All money raised will go toward purchasing "Buddy Benches" for our playground. The Buddy Bench is a simple idea to eliminate loneliness and foster friendship on the playground.

Breakfast and Books!

South Creek is having a "Breakfast and Books" on Thursday, October 29th for K-2 at 8:00 am. Parents and kids can come to school early, bring a book, and have a donut while you read together in the hallway outside of our classroom. Please bring a book from home and RSVP by Tuesday, October 27th on the form that was sent home today. Hope to see you there!

Red Ribbon Week!

Red Ribbon Week(s) will be October 26 - November 6 at South Creek. The theme will be "I Mustache You Not to Bully or Do Drugs". Look for more information to come home from Mrs. Adams.

PTO Fall Party

Our PTO Fall Party will be on Friday, October 30th at 3:10. Check your email for more information and donations that we need to make this party a success. Parents are welcome to come and help out with the party.

Wanted!

We could use items for our Treasure Box. Some ideas are: small toys, candy, pencils, stickers, erasers, Happy Meal toys, etc. These items do not need to be new (example - toys that your child does not want anymore after cleaning out a closet!).

Book-It

The Book-It Program, sponsored by Pizza Hut, will begin in October. I hope all students will participate. If your child reads (or listens to) 16 books in a month, they will receive a coupon for a free pizza from Pizza Hut. If your child participates all 6 months (October—March), they will get to eat lunch with me in April! Your child brought home a gold information sheet with a pizza form attached. You may turn it in at any time when it is complete! All Book-It forms are due on Monday, November 2nd.
