Student Voice
Our Student Voice surveys will begin on Wednesday, January 4th and will utilize computer labs 109 and 207. Please look at the schedule and be aware of the impact on your classes if you have scheduled time in these labs. The surveys will be mostly complete by Friday, January 6th, with the exception of 2nd block in lab 109 on Tuesday, January 10th to finish up the surveys.
CERT Scores
Scores from December 13th Mock ACT are available for students to see when they login to CERT. The link to CERT is on the school's website, go to For Students-->Academic Resources & Programs-->CERT. Students just need to use their school email address (firstname.lastname@stu.pulaski.kyschools.us) and their password will be either swhs or warriors. It will be great for them to note their scores from Assessment 2, but also to look for growth from Assessment 1 (taken in September) to Assessment 2 (taken in December). This would be a great chance for teachers to have some goal-setting opportunities with your junior students, as they are scheduled to take the ACT on March 21st.
Youth Mental Health First Aid
It is a requirement in our district that ALL staff must be trained in Youth Mental Health First Aid. The training will be provided on the iLearn days this year, located at Northern Middle and Southern Middle in their libraries. The training runs from 8:00 - 3:30 and will hold up to 36 people. If you haven't attended this training, please email Lori Price with the specific location (NMS or SMS) and the specific iLearn day (Day 1, Day 2, or Day 3) and carbon Ms. Ellis when you send it.
Success With Higher Standards
Southwestern High School will strive to graduate every student college/career ready and prepared for the 21st century.
