This week the children continued to explore letters and letter sounds. Each child continued to work on individual phonemic skills. Some children worked on upper to lower case matching. Other worked on word families -an and -ad. Others worked on identifying beginning blends. The children all worked on identifying pronouns and using them correctly when speaking. They sight words were: one, two, three. They listened to One Little Mouse. The skills that were discussed were animal fantasy and sequencing. The children also continued to identify parts of a sentence. They can identify the who and what they who is doing. This week they will be working on the where expander in a sentence.

The children worked on identifying and using pronouns correctly. They went on a pronoun hunt within magazines. They listened to Where are My Animal Friends? They completed a writing prompt from the story. Look in your child's folder for it. The children also continued to identify parts of a sentence. They can identify the who and what they who is doing. The children continued to work on identifying and making quantities to 20. They also continued to explore addition. They used manipulatives and number lines to solve single digit addition sentences. They also reviewed patterning and supplying the missing number. Look in your child's folder for extra practice sheets.
