Parent Tiger Talk
December 19, 2017
Welcome Winter!
The forecast has shifted with a lesser amount of snow falling throughout Thursday. While that does not automatically trigger a snow day, it does appear like we will have a white winter break.
This time of year is filled with culture and traditions. In my attached monthly article, I reference a recent podcast by CESA 6 CEO Ted Neitzke in which he explains, “Every culture has traditions. Traditions are the fabric of a family, a community, a workplace, a classroom, and civilization.” In our district, we are motivated and driven by our vision as one of Wisconsin’s finest districts fostering excellence for all through innovation.
That is a tall order as we preserve the past yet constantly consider ways to improve the work we do. In the weeks to come, consider the traditions that drive the way you spend your time with family and friends. Appreciate the efforts of those preserving the traditions, but be open to making adjustments as the traditions you support will lead generations to come.
Thank you for all you do to make this a wonderful district. Enjoy your time with family and friends over the winter break. School resumes on January 2. Have a safe winter break and we will see you in 2018!
Your Superintendent,
Mary

We congratulate Officer Michels and wish her well on her new position in the department. In her message to staff, Officer Michels stated, “The decision was difficult as I greatly enjoy working with all of you and the students.
