PTA Update
Hello Kirtland Elementary Families,
It was amazing to see our 500 Elementary students smiling and enjoying the popcorn/movie during lunch on October 5th! We would love to continue this event every month for the rest of the school year!!
To do so, we are requesting cash/check donations to help cover the costs of the remaining 8 popcorn parties we are planning this school year. If you are able to help us, please donate whatever you feel comfortable giving. We hope to raise around $800 total.
In the event that we raise more donations than these parties will cost, PTA will put the excess money toward improving and enhancing the Elementary students' parties/events this year. (For example, money could go toward adding a photo booth and memory keepsake sleeves for the photos, on the last day of school carnival party.) This is contingent however, upon how much money is actually donated.
**If you are willing and able to donate, please send in to school your cash or check (payable to Kirtland PTA) in an envelope labeled “PTA Popcorn Parties.”
Secondly, if you are able to attend the PTA meeting this month, we will have lots of news and event information for you! Feel free to join us Tuesday, October 11th in Hornet Hall at 6:00pm. You may bring your children with you, as we will have babysitting and light snacks provided to the children.
Thanks for your generosity and support!

Haloween at KES!
- Students can wear their costumes to school. PLEASE send a bag for costumes to be put into after our parties.
- We will have an outdoor parade at 9:00 around the playground fence area. Parents are welcome to stand along the fence-line to watch. This parade will be weather-permitting. I will send an e-mail that morning if plans change.
- Parties will take place during the morning hours (combination of time in the gym and time in the classroom). Once the parties are over, students can take their costumes off, put them in a bag, and take them home after school.
