Today, Monday, June 22nd all students and staff will end the year; and what a year it has been! Tomorrow night we'll deliver diplomas to our graduating seniors. Under the leadership of Tim Likosky and Jon Loporto the seniors will also be able to see their graduation come to life through videos and pictures with awards and student speeches. Last Friday the 8th grade team ended the year with a "zoom" moving up ceremony, complete with slide show and awards! Under very trying circumstances our students, families, and staff have done a great job!
Through all of the turmoil and disruption the Dearborn community has remained a strong one. Students and staff communicated with each other and supported each other when the world seemed to be falling apart. We are still here for you.
This summer we remain committed to assisting you in any way we can:
- We have summer programs for high school students who want to get credits that they need toward graduation. Contact your guidance counselor with any questions.
- We have summer programs for those students in middle school or high school who want to stay academically fit and ready for next year. Contact your guidance counselor with any questions.
- Students looking for jobs can contact us for assistance.
- We will reach out to you during the summer to check-in. You can do the same to us.
- If you need a chromebook or a hotspot for internet access you can contact us.
We are not sure what next year looks like yet. Staff at the school and District levels are trying to figure out all of the possible scenarios for September and beyond. When we learn more we will let you know.
Keep your head up and your heart open!

PLEASE CONTACT US IF YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED YOUR EBT CARD...
P-EBT Cards
Beginning this month, every BPS family will receive financial assistance for food due to the COVID-19 pandemic. These funds are available under a new federal program called Pandemic EBT or P-EBT.
Families will receive $5.70 each eligible child each day for every day school is closed due to the pandemic, which comes to $28.50 a week.
Families that do not have an EBT card will receive a P-EBT card in the mail. Each enrolled BPS child in the household will receive a unique P-EBT card. If a family already has an EBT card, funds will be added to their account. The money can be used to buy food items at stores where SNAP benefits are accepted (look for signs that say, “We accept EBT here”). Email food@boston.gov for questions. The card is valid for one year.
