Adele Stanbury, Position: Grade 1 teacher
2. Where are you from?
I am originally from Yorkshire in the UK but I have lived many years in Australia
3. Do you have a family?
Yes, I'm married with 2 children: my daughter Nikita and son Thomas.
I also have a younger brother and sister myself.
4. Your childhood nickname?
Deli
5. What's your favourite food?
Dark chocolate
6. What are your hobbies?
Dance, pilates, yoga, reading, walking and watching movies
7. Where's your favourite place in the UAE?
Burj Al Arab and Burj Khalifa
8. Most memorable experience as a teacher so far?
Having a grade 4 student introduce a football game in front of a stadium of people.
9. Can you share with us your funniest moment in your teaching career?
Riding a camel at Ajman Academy!
10. How about your most challenging moment in your teaching career?
Moving my family to the UAE and learning not only the school system here, but a new way of life.
11. Who's your childhood hero?
My Media Studies teacher.
12. If you weren’t a teacher, what would you be?
A travel or events planner definitely!
