Social Media Spotlight of the Week: Snapchat and YOLO
The featured app this week is Snapchat. It's widely used not only by students, but parents as well! Sending videos, pictures and other content is quick and simple when using this resource. There are features to be aware of that can cause issues when not monitored. Another app which is frequently paired with Snapchat is YOLO. Again, this may be a foreign term to adults, but for students is a place where questions and polls can be sent anonymously. Take a peak at the resources below to learn more!

Spanish classes are very fortunate to be part of a "Virtual Pen Pal" program with Cody Boozell. Cody is a UNI student studying abroad this semester at the University of Oviedo in Spain bringing "real life" Spanish and culture to our classroom. Students are able to learn about Cody and his experiences in Spain through videos he shares and our Skype meetings, and also practice their own Spanish with him. This has been a very fun experience for our OHS students!!
