STUCO Presents the New PK8 Pledge

Our Student Council representatives went to each classroom to present the new Paonia K-8 School Pledge. The pledge was developed by students and then refined by staff. Students and staff both showed passion and care for the pledge that we would all say every day--a lot of PRIDE and HEART went into the creation of our pledge.

You will notice the SOARING acronym in our pledge. This represents our school mission statement, with the letters representing Safety, Order, Achievement, Respect, Individuality, Neighborly, and Growth.

Our new pledge will begin to be recited on Monday, October 25. Come join us one day in your child's classroom for morning announcements and say the pledge with us!

Shark Tank!

Our 6th-8th graders in Shop class are putting together a Radio Controlled (RC) Car Track. The students presented in groups to a Shark Tank, discussing how the program is designed for students Kindergarten - 8th grade. Their presentations were incredible!

We will be accepting donations for the RC Car Track on until October 29.

Students will use cars in shop and STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Art Math) classes. Cars will also be used with students as a recreational activity. We would like to have annual races for kids, like a Cherry Days 500 or maybe just a school-wide event.

It's raining, it's pouring...

Chilly weather is here! Please remember to send your children with jackets, hats and gloves. Students are outside before school, during lunch recess and some for afternoon recess. Outside recess will occur at 20 degrees or above.
