What & When is Racer 101?

Racer 101 is an extended orientation allowing students to get an idea of college life before they actually move in and start classes in the fall. Racer 101 is different from Summer Orientation, where students register for classes. This is a four-day week of activities where incoming freshmen learn the layout of campus, interact with older students, taught MSU traditions, and participate in team building exercises.

The Racer 101 program offers two different session during the 2017 summer!

Blue Session: June 4-7, 2017

Gold Session: July 11-14, 2017

Both sessions last for four days and the days consist of excitement, leadership opportunities, and of course fun!

The $140 fee covers the three night accommodations on campus and all meals starting at dinner on Day 1 through breakfast before checking out on Day 4. It also covers the cost of programming and scheduled events, as well as a Racer 101 t-shirt.
