Safe Schools Team Audit
We are proud to share that on Monday, our DCSD Safe Schools Team conducted an audit during a level 2 lockdown drill and we scored the highest score possible. This is a testament to the preparedness of our teachers and staff, as well as, the cooperation of our amazing students. It's a team effort and we did great!
Student Focus Group and Professional Learning Day
On Tuesday of this week, I had the pleasure of meeting with a focus group of ten students to hear their perspectives on school progress including topics such as school culture, assessments, student behavior, teacher support, etc. For Friday's professional learning day, our teachers and administrative team participated in a reflection day where we collaborated on some of the experiences our students shared during the focus group meeting. It was insightful, powerful and productive to say the least! We want to continue to lift up the voices of our students as we work together to improve our school.
