Kids Heart Challenge at Hillside
Fundraiser for the American Heart Association
The Kids Heart Challenge is here!
Dear Hillside Parent(s),
Hello from the North Gym and Physical Education at Hillside. Every two years Hillside and four other Westside Elementary Schools rotate with our other five elementary buildings to support the American Heart Association in their fundraising efforts to support the health and medical community in working to assist our fellow citizens who suffered from heart disease and stroke related outcomes. By participating in the Kids Heart Challenge, we have an opportunity to teach our students the importance of giving back to the community and understanding that every family in some way becomes affected by heart disease and or stroke. This is not a requirement and is strictly optional. Two years ago, Hillside raised $3,700.00! I have attached a copy of the Hillside Parent Letter. Finally, I will be sending home the KHC brochure with your child this week. First, detach and complete the parent permission slip and send it back with your child who will deliver it to Mr. Korbelik. Online registration information is located in the packet. Once registered, your child may begin the heart challenge and fundraising. I will be distributing the prize patches and fundraising prizes to students as activity and fundraising levels are achieved.
Thank you for supporting your child in this most important endeavor.
Respectfully,
Mr. Korbelik , P.E. Teacher at Hillside
