Class Sizes
While having an online option for students at the elementary level decreases the overall number of students in the building, and reduces the number of students in common areas, such as the cafeteria and playground, it does not necessarily reduce class size numbers. This is because our own teachers are taking on sections of online classrooms, which is a reassignment -- not an additional teacher -- for each grade level. Class sizes will stay within typical ranges for in person instruction.
Also, an important reminder for those selecting in-person learning: As you would for inclement weather days, please make a plan in the event your child’s classroom must quarantine or if our school goes into distance learning mode. Each family will need a backup plan for child supervision and assistance with distance learning assignments. Developing a back-up plan now will help you and your child transition more easily, should the need arise.
Opting In to Get Park Hill Texts
This is a reminder that you will receive a text message on August 19, asking if you would like to opt into district and school texts. You must respond to the text with a “Y” or “Yes” if you would like to receive information this way. Click here for more information.
If you need to update your cell phone number, please follow these steps:
1. Log into “Campus Parent”
2. Select “More” from the left menu
3. Click “Family Info” and find your name
4. Click “Update”
5. Enter the cell phone you wish to receive text messages
Please note that only parents and guardians can receive district text messages.
Tax-Free Weekend
It's almost time for Missouri's 2020 tax-free weekend. The sales tax holiday begins at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, August 7, and runs through Sunday, August 9. According to the Missouri Department of Revenue, certain back-to-school purchases are exempt from Missouri's 4.225% sales tax for this time period only.
Both in-person and Park Hill Online students will need the same supplies.

2020-2021 Kidguard Insurance Enrollment
Park Hill is very interested in providing a safe environment for all students. However, accidents do happen every day during school activities. Therefore, the
school offers all parents the opportunity to enroll their child in a low cost, school approved insurance program. Because of the high risk of injury in sports, all students
that want to participate in school sports should have basic insurance protection. We strongly urge all parents to read this description of low cost coverage
available through the school.
Shape Your Future in Park Hill
You'll soon have the opportunity to make sure you're counted in the 2020 Census! As the U.S. Constitution requires every 10 years, the U.S. Census Bureau will count every person living in our country. Starting in mid-March, every home will receive a questionnaire, which asks about the people living in the home, including their names and demographic information, such as age, sex and race. You can respond online, on the phone or through the mail.
It is important for all of us to take 10 minutes to participate, because the results impact everyone in our schools. The data determines how the government spends more than $675 billion across the nation, including funding for school lunches, services and support for low-income families, education grants, community classes and more. In addition, the census determines how we are represented on the state and federal levels.
The 2020 census records will be confidential until 2092.
