Wrangell School District and Community Announcements
School Board Meeting
Wrangell Public School Board will hold a Regular School Board Meeting on Monday, April 15, 2019, in the Evergreen Elementary School Gym, beginning at 6:30 PM. Please enter through the gym doors.
A Public Hearing regarding the Report Card to the Public will be held during the meeting.
The agenda for the School Board Meeting will be available online four days prior to the meeting at https://www.boarddocs.com/ak/wrangell/Board.nsf.
The public is encouraged to attend.
Position Announcement: K-12 Fine Arts Teacher
Wrangell Public Schools is accepting applications for the following positions for the 2018-2019 School Year:
K-12 Fine Arts Teacher: This is a full-time teaching position providing a K-12 art program. The applicant must have the ability to develop an appreciation of art in every student so that every student recognizes their own creativity to express themselves and enhance their environment.
A current Alaska Teaching certificate with the appropriate endorsements in Art is required. Multiple endorsements are preferred. Youth Employment Services
The Central Council Tlingit & Haida Indian Tribes of AK administers the Youth Employment Services (YES) program to assist tribal youth (ages 14-21) to obtain summer employment. As stated, "the intent of this program is to encourage self-sufficiency and assist youth in discovering career/education pathways while learning employment skills."
