Rock Hill Review

Opening Up
We have a FIGHT SONG!
In case you missed the BIG news of the week, we announced our official FIGHT SONG, "The Victors," via the Michigan Band Director, John Pasquale! Dr. Pasquale is a close friend of our Fine Arts Director, Mr. John Alstrin, and we appreciate him taking the time to put together a video from THE BIG HOUSE! In case you missed it here is the link.
We continued to "Build the Hill" this week with several special events. First off, we now have our inaugural Cheer Team! I am so proud of all the students who participated in tryouts and are wanting to take part in starting a Cheer Program legacy at Rock Hill. I cannot say enough great things about our Assistant Principal, Emily Yeichner, our Varsity Cheer Sponsor, Kendra Lee and Junior Varsity Cheer sponsor, Tori Kane for all their hard work in putting together our virtual tryouts! We have an exceptional group of students who will be a part of these teams and I have no doubt they will be amazing representatives of our school!
We also had several virtual meet and greets with our Athletic Teams and Fine Arts Teams. I was fortunate enough to be a part of the Football meeting and Girls Basketball meeting this week. It's exciting to hear the vision of our incredible coaches and see the enthusiasm our kids have in wanting to build a tradition of excellence at Rock Hill! Everything is moving in a positive direction and it's going to be an incredible day when we can all come back together and celebrate the start of an amazing journey!
I hope everyone is doing well in your world and please do not ever hesitate to reach out if you need anything. Have a great week! Go Rock!!!
Dustin Toth
Principal
Deadline for Course Selection Change Requests is April 30
Student Council Interest Survey
A CORE group on campus will be our Student Council. We have two incredible individuals, Taylour Reeder and Shannon Slade who will be teaming up this year to lead this organization. Coach Reeder is coming from Corpus Christi ISD where she was the Student Council Sponsor for her campus. Mrs. Slade is coming over from Frisco Independence High School where she also served as the Student Council Sponsor. They have some AMAZING ideas for this group and I can't wait to see all the great things they do next year!

As Robert Frost once said, “I am not a teacher, but an awakener,” and I believe that is the chief responsibility of any educator--to unlock the curiosity in their students that lead them to be lifelong learners. I am so looking forward to getting to know my students! Go Blue Hawks!!
