Bueche's Bulletin News You Can Use!

A Note from Ms. Bueche

This week we have started Reindeer Challenges in the morning to get the brain started. Students are in groups and they chose a reindeer name for a team name. Then each day they answer five holiday questions to earn points for their team. They can use the internet for help. It would be fun to see if friends and family know the answers to the questions. They are posted on Haiku.

We have been doing different coding sites this week. The school pushed Lightbot which works on our tablets, but other students have been using Scratch and Code Academy. I would highly recommend setting up an account for your child if they don't already have one. Some of the things kids are creating are amazing!

Please let me know if you will be pulling your child next week for any activities or an early vacation. We still are working on things and I would like to make sure everyone can complete the projects we are doing.

Reminder notes about who signed up to send in what for the winter party are in the Friday folders. Please let me know if you can't send in the item you signed up for. Also remember we have a nut and red food dye allergies in the classroom.

Getting ready for winter break, I'm asking kids to take their science projects home. Some of the projects are really big and may need some help arriving home safely. Thank you for your help with this.

A special thank you to those who sent in Christmas cards and jars for us to use. We appreciate it.
