A Message from the Principals
Dear Pine Brook Families,
We hope your Panther has been sharing all the wonderful happenings at Pine Brook! We are getting close to reaching our complement goal, we completed Code of Conduct assemblies, the warm weather has allowed us to be outside a TON, and we are well into our engaged lessons! We will also be sharing some good news about attendance on the Morning Show on Monday.
We are also excited to share that our Student Leadership Team held their first meeting this week. We have one representative from Grades 3-5 working together under the guidance of Reading Specialists, Mrs. Knapp and Mrs. Kukol, to share their voice and gather feedback from students to make Pine Brook Better. So far some patterns that have emerged are that they love βthe kind students and friendsβ, βthe playgroundβ, βgood teachersβ, βsetting goalsβ and βThe Morning Show.β A few areas they would like to see improvements in were βmore things to do on the blacktopβ, βbetter foodβ, βmore field tripsβ, and βmore music.β Stay tuned as we keep you updated on other ways we are giving students voice, choice and ownership over their learning at Pine Brook!
Enjoy the beautiful weekend weather with your children.
Go Bills! πβ€οΈ

π Leader in Me! π
Leader in Me
As a school, we are going to be diving deep into Leader in Me. Leader in Me is all about empowering your child to reach their full potential, find their voice, and become a leader. Every student at Pine Brook has greatness and we canβt wait to learn and grow with them! We will be sharing the 7 Habits monthly in the Pine Brook Press so that you and your family can find out more about what it means to be an active, engaged leader! This week all students read The Circles All Around Us. Ask them about the book and what Habit 1: Be Proactive means. In addition, there will be a fun assignment to complete with your panther in their folder to reinforce the habit at home.
πBook Clubπ
Assistant Principals and Coordinators have started a book club! We want ALL of our children to thrive. We will be reading the book Thrivers by Michelle Borba this year. We would love any of our parents/guardians to join us in this book study! Please reach out to your Parent Coordinator, Meredith Boulis at meredith.boulis@greececsd.org if you would like to be a part of this exciting opportunity.

District and Pine Brook Contacts
Who to Call With Questions is a New Resource for Families
Building trust and ensuring that there are open lines of communication between home and school are essential for student success. We want to be sure you know who to contact with questions or concerns. In December, the district shared a new resource for families. In case you missed it, this linked Who to Call with Questions, Concerns and Compliments reference guide is a step-by-step guide families can use to ensure questions are answered quickly and effectively. Whether your inquiry is about academics, safety, or services and supports, there are people at the school and district level who are ready to help whenever a question or concern arises.
