Message from the Principal
Dear Price Families,
Thank you so much to all of the parents that attended our informational meeting last Wednesday evening. As you saw, we are very eager and excited to welcome our students back to campus. We have been working hard to ensure the campus, staff and students will be well prepared to engage in in person instruction safely. If you were unable to attend, here is the link to the presentation.
Teachers will be going over procedures and expectations with their students next Wednesday during their morning check in. Students will know which gates they are to use and what to expect in all areas of the campus.
We will also be allocating a chromebook to students that haven’t already checked out a district device. This will be a required item to bring to and from school daily. The district device will be required for state testing laster in the spring. We have also moved to this 1:1 model to ensure equitable access and to eliminate sharing of devices for sanitation purposes. If your child does not have a district chromebook, they will receive it on their first day back to campus. We will be sending out more information as well as training students on how to appropriately care for their district device. Students in the VSP program will also need a district device. The school will be reaching out to these families individually to arrange this.
This is certainly lots of change for our community. Please begin helping your child to prepare for the adjustment of returning to school by:
Building up their mask wearing tolerance
Ensuring a regular sleep schedule
Planning out what their week will look like as each day is unique
Talking to your child about any worries they may be having
Focusing on the positive changes while we wait to safely return to all our normal activities
Thank you for your ongoing partnership.

Medications at School - Health/Allergy Updates Needed
By law, medication of any kind cannot be administered at school (including asthma inhalers, Tylenol, cough syrup, or epi-pens) unless a medication form has been completed and signed by the parent and the child's doctor. These forms must be submitted every year and must be on file before the student can return to school. This is for the safety of your child and we must have documents on file before each student arrives on campus.
If your child has any health conditions that require medication please fill out a Medication Authorization Form and return it to our Health Clerk, Maura Keenan, in the Price Office. You can scan it and email to her at : keenanm@cambrainsd.com.
If your child has an allergy, asthma or other medical condition of concern we will also need the appropriate Emergency Care Plan listed below filled out and signed by your child's doctor. These forms are available through the Cambrian website and attached through the links below:

CSD Local Control Accountability Plan Survey and English Learner Needs Assessment 2021-22
The LCAP survey is available through March 12th. The goal of the community planning process is to gather feedback on the design and implementation of the district’s priorities for the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP). To accomplish this, we are gathering community input. Your participation is critical in this decision-making process, and we appreciate your assistance with the survey link below.
The EL Program survey if for all English Learners families and will end on March 3rd. This survey is designed to gather opinions of parents/guardians and assess their knowledge about the school’s programs and services provided to English learners. Following analysis of your responses, ELAC/DELAC will advise the schools on areas that may need improvement. See link below.
