"I was in middle school for three grades, 7th, 8th and 9th grade. I was in middle school from 1980-1983. I went to Park View Junior High School."

3. What were your favorite activities in middle school?

"When I was in middle school, I loved woodworking and metal shop where we made all kinds of things from candle holders to wooden whales. As a matter of fact, we made everything. My favorite hobby back then was jogging; I love to jog!"

4. What job/interests/activities do you have now? Is there a connection between what you like back then and what you like now?

"I used to babysit back then and now I help with the after-school clubs at Eden Park Elementary School."

5. What was the best part about being in middle school?

"My favorite part about middle school was meeting lifelong friends, the dances were great and meeting some wonderful teachers."

6. What was the worst part?

"The worst part about middle school was getting lost all the time in the beginning, not being able to open up my locker and getting my 'chops' busted."

7. How would you describe your middle school self?

"I would describe myself in middle school as shy, quiet and very tall for my age."

8. What advice about growing up would you give to kids my age?

"Some advice I would give to pre-teens and teenagers is trust your parents when they give you advice because we have made the same mistakes you have and you will. Hit the books and keep to your studies. Keep on top of your homework."

9. What was the best school at the time?

"The best school at the time was Western Hills."

"My favorite teachers were Mr. Folsom (Woodworking and Metal Shop), Mr. and Mrs. Cavanaugh (PE), and Mr. Leonard (PE)."
