Words of Inspiration
It's that special time of year where there is magic in the air, and we are all looking forward to spending more time with family and friends.
We currently have 1 week of school left before heading out for the Winter Break. So, please make sure you continue talking to your children about the importance of taking school seriously and making the right choices. There are many exciting events happening around us, but we need to make sure we are managing our time effectively, so we don't get overwhelmed or fall behind in our classes.
Sit down with your children and ask them what their learning goal is for this six weeks. They have 3 weeks left in this first semester, so there is plenty of time for them to bring up grades, study better, go to tutoring, and focus on growing as a learner. But, they need your help in identifying where they should start. We don't want them stressing out too much and/or setting unrealistic goals because that could cause more harm than good.
If you are needing help in setting individual learning goals with your children, feel free to contact their teachers and/or counselor. They'd be more than happy to partner with you to help them be successful.
I do want to thank you all for your dedication to making sure your child's middle school years are filled with positive memories of putting forth effort in everything they do. I love seeing our students who exhibit positive and caring attitudes because they are the ones who are true role models and representative of what it means to be a Texan. So, keep up the great work and enjoy the holidays.
We are grateful for your support and look forward to a wonderful Happy 2019!
