"You see me,
I see you.
Your eyes are ( blue, green, brown)
Mine are, too. ( or mine are brown, blue, green)"
See if you can name objects that match the color of your eyes.
Commitment
At school as well as making a commitment to keep our classroom safe we will also be introducing the kindness tree. When we see someone doing a kind act we will put their name on a leaf and add it to the tree. At the end of the day we will talk about how many leafs our classroom has and what kind acts were done.
At home you can do the same thing! Point out kind acts that your child does or that someone else does in your home and how it is kind.
Morning Message
This week we will transition from tapping the words in the sentence to clapping the syllables in words. Prepare children by clapping the syllables in their names and family members names. Practice this several times. When children are ready for clapping syllables follow this format.
Say the sentence. Ask students to say the sentence with you. Encourage them to say it again, this time clapping their hands for each syllable in the word they say. Check that children are clapping syllables and not words. It will take practice and time to build this skill so don't expect them to master it immediately.
Use letter cards (Rr and Uu)
Morning Message "Uncle Ray likes blue."
Complete the seesaw activity" letter R"
