WE ARE HOLY TRINITY CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL
~ October 5th, 2020 ~
Letter from the Principal
Thank you to everyone for coming out in support of our 2020 Homecoming celebration! The week was festive, the energy was positive, and everyone made the best of a slightly wonky Homecoming week. It ended with an amazing game that summed up the spirit of Fellowship and Family that are defining the 2020-2021 school year.
Our Virtue this week is Kindness. You'll find the Virtue Video below.
Please continue to wear your masks and to practice social distancing whether you're at school or out and about. We ask that you continue to hold our school, its families, its students and its staff in your prayers.
Mrs. Brogan

VIRTUE OF THE WEEK: KINDNESS
The virtue of Kindness is aligned with the Cardinal virtue of Justice.
Expressing genuine concern about the well-being of others; anticipating their needs
KINDNESS LOOKS LIKE:
- Carrying bags for someone
- Talking to someone who seems sad
- Giving a glass of water to someone who is thirsty
- Sharing your jacket with someone who is cold
- Helping someone clean up a spill
KINDNESS SOUNDS LIKE:
- Do you need any help?
- You seem upset, is there anything I can do for you?
- I can get you some water.
- βI have an extra coat you can borrow.β
- I can clean that up for you.
- Silence. Thank you, Jesus, for coming into my heart.

Virtue of the week last week: Gratitude
While Football clearly dominated due to Homecoming week, there was also some action in other sports:
- Volleyball continued to dominate in it's games
- Cross Country
Student Council successfully organized and held the voting for the 2020 Homecoming Court
HOMECOMING GAME 2020:
- Cheer held their Homecoming Pep Rally out on the Matous field, showing off their stunts and skill. They then stayed on to cheer their Celtics to Victory!
- The Celtics played their hugely anticipated game against Round Rock Christian - and came off with a resounding victory - 62-20!! They left no doubt as to how strong they are this year. Go Celtics!
- Alumni were welcomed back to campus and had a chance to put their names in for a chance to win Mrs. Rosanna Brown's fabulous Homecoming Alumni Basket. Mrs. Brown puts together an amazing assortment of goodies for the basket each year, and this year was possibly one of the prettiest. Lucky Class of 2020 alum Ann Marie Boone had the winning ticket!

Blue Day Mass at HT
Fr. John from St. Luke's Catholic Church returned to celebrate our Blue Mass. He gave a passionate explanation of who the angels and archangels truly are and how they serve God by taking care of us.
Gold Day Mass at HT
Fr. Francisco returned to HT to celebrate our Gold Mass - this was his first Gold Mass, and he enjoyed all the new faces! Thank you Fr. Francisco for coming out to HT on such short notice - Fr. Kurtis from St. Mary's was unable to make it this week.
Adoration at HT.
VOLLEYBALL
Volleyball Head Coach Brandi Jageler (Varsity) and Assistant Coach Jane Boone (JV) are leading the Lady Celtics into each game with demonstrated skill and strength conditioning. The teams' return to the HT gym made that very clear. We look forward to an exciting season!

How to Cope with Loneliness While Doing Online Learning from Home
Students and Parents,
As you are continuing to stay safe at home while we are still facing the uncertainty of the Covid pandemic, I have found several websites that hopefully will help you manage any feelings of loneliness and despair that you are experiencing.
Just interacting on the computer with distance learning can never replace being with people. Hopefully, you will find these articles helpful, but more importantly, let's all pray that the pandemic ends soon, and we can all return to being with our classmates, friends, and teachers.
