From Mrs. Sawatzky
Good afternoon Meadowbrook,
To all of our community members celebrating Hanukkah this week: "Hanukkah sameach!" Love and light to you and your family.
A highlight of my week included talking about small acts of kindness with our quarantined students over Google Meet. Our students are so insightful about what makes a difference in the lives of others! Thank you for instilling these values in your children.
Are you interested in joining our Meadowbrook team? We are looking for Special Education Paraprofessionals to support students during the school day. Email me if you would like to discuss this further.
Have a wonderful weekend!
In partnership,
Natalie

Winter Gear
From Nurse Karen
Hello Meadowbrook Families,
With Covid cases rising, I thought I would address several common questions I get often.
How do you determine Quarantine times? I use information that families provide and together with Hopkins policy, MDH and CDC Guidelines, to determine quarantine times.
What can we do to help? First, keep your children home when they are ill. Covid has some very subtle symptoms, and fevers are not showing up in many cases. You can use the Daily Checklist for guidance. Second, please email or call us if you find yourselves testing for Covid. Mrs. Sawatzky and myself check emails often, even weekends and weeknights and during school breaks! We are willing to answer your questions and concerns.
Anything else we should know? If your child tests positive but is due for their first or second vaccine, after your child is done with quarantine or isolation, they can receive their vaccine. (I am being asked that question a lot).
I only want what is best for everyone here in the Meadowbrook Community. We truly have not only the best students, but they come from the best families! I am here to help, and I can tell you our teachers and staff feel the same way. We need our families to help too. Together, we can ALL join together to support each other to get through this pandemic.
