ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR THE WEEK OF FEBRUARY 12-FEBRUARY 16, 2018 Track 2 OUT
WELCOME: We want to extend a warm welcome to Ms. Whitney Mae Owens! She is teaching 1st grade and has already made a mark on PUE! The students are very complementary and her team is enjoying working with her. If you haven't, go by and introduce yourself! She is "very excited to be here."
LOVE THE BUS: This week is LOVE THE BUS week. Please encourage your students to create cards/bring treats for the bus drivers. We will give them a gift basket on Wednesday and smaller items on other days. Bus drivers control students, interface with parents, and adapt to changing schedules all while driving through Raleigh traffic. It is not a job for the faint-hearted! If you have items to share, please send them to the main office prior to bus loading. An email will be sent about LOVE THE BUS which will include an attachment for a LOVE THE BUS Valentine's Day Template and more information.
GOOGLE CALENDAR: Check the school google calendar for information on a regular basis. Due to snow days and other changes, events/meetings are being rescheduled and change from one day to the next. It is also helpful to check the calendar before scheduling events so that grade-levels are not double-booking planning times or learning experiences. The calendar is the best way to keep informed.
REMINDER: MAKE UP DAYS Tracks 1/2/3:
- Thursday January 4th- Saturday, March 24th.
- Friday January 5th- Saturday, April 7th
- Wednesday January 17- Saturday, April 14th
SCHOOL ACTIVITIES:
BILES/FRICKE HAVE LEFT THE BUILDING: A BIG thank you to those that ran Saturday School this past Saturday. Principal Perry, Assistant Principal Blocker, Facilities Manager Ward, and EVERYONE that helped did an awesome job. The "big three" in Administration were avoided (no one was significantly injured, the building didn't catch on fire, and no outside intruders) and students had a great day! Thank you again!
CONSIDERATION OF RETENTION FORM: If by chance you didn't complete a consideration of retention form with any students that should be considered for retention at this time please complete the form by this Friday, February 16. Students on the list should have a Tier plan, your grade level Intervention Committee should be aware of the student and you should have alerted parents of your concerns. List each area of concern as modeled on Google sheets form. If you have any questions please alert Lara or me.
INTENT FORM: Most intent forms have been completed. If you have not completed your Intent Form please do so by this Friday, February 16th.
STAFF MEETING DATE CHANGE: This month's Staff Meeting date has changed to, Thursday 2/22.
